Rules

RULES:
1. All participants will compete as partners. Each person is responsible to obtain their own partner.
2. The cost of participating is $5 per week per person. Ideally money is due the first week of competition but just let me know if that is a problem for you.
3. At the end of the eight weeks, funds will be taken out of the pooled money for prizes.
4. If you join this competition, you are in it for the eight weeks. If something major comes up, please let me know ASAP. You will need to find your own replacement for your partner.
5. Points are due every Wednesday by 3 PM Eastern Standard time. We will be providing a link for you to record your weekly points on a spread sheet.  Points submitted after 3 pm EST on Wednesday will not be included in weekly totals or weekly competition. Points submitted after Friday noon will not be included for the overall competition.
6. This competition is for women only. Men lose weight way too quickly and easily for us to include them!

POINTS

2 points/day for getting your 5 fruits/veggies daily or 3 points/day if at least 3 of your 5-a-day come from vegetables.

1 point/day for getting 15 minutes of exercise, 2 points for 30 minutes, 3 points for 45 minutes, 5 points for an hour (yes that's a little bonus for doing a full hour).  These points are only available 6 days/week (taking one day off is GOOD for you!)

2 points/day for entering everything you eat on myfitnesspal.com with an additional 3 points (for a total of 5 points) if you write down everything you eat AND STAY within your daily calorie budget. You will obtain your daily calorie allowance after filling out the goals portion on the website. It is up to you how fast you want to try to lose weight.

5 points/day for no sweets. These points are only available 6 days/week leaving you one day to eat a sweet if you'd like. Use your sweets day for holidays and special occasions or just to treat yourself once a week. Treating yourself regularly helps avoid bingeing!

2 points/day for drinking at least 48 oz. of water daily.

5 points/week for maintaining your weight (staying the same). If you gain weight one week you will not be able to earn the 5 points for maintaining or any pounds for subsequent weeks until you have lost what you re-gained and are back to even with your low point for this competition.

5 points /at 5 and 10 weeks for each ½" you lose from your waist.

5 points/ at 5 and 10 weeks for each  ½" you lose from your hips.

5 points/day - Special challenge for the week - these challenges will vary.
